Joining the jewels of tech

Timileyin, a graduate of Electronic Engineering from Nigeria, expressed her satisfaction with The Bulb Africa's Fellowship program. She explained that she had a beginner's knowledge of coding and tech before joining the program but was inspired to enroll after seeing the experiences of other young women in the tech industry.

"I saw what other young ladies and women did on Tech Jewel and thought I could do it if they could." explains Timileyin.

Timileyin chose to study DevOps and found the program challenging, but also rewarding. She attributed much of her success to her instructor, Mr. Frank, who provided outstanding teaching on the first day of classand helped her understand the various opportunities available to DevOps engineers.During her training, Timileyin worked on various projects, including Jenkins, DECOKER, GIT, and source code projects, which paved the way for her during her internship. With the help of her facilitator and lead, she was given tips on facing job interviews, which resulted in her securing three job interviews within just three months of her internship.
