Ilmhona

Ilmhona Skills Accelerator trains and employs people in tech and design, based in Tajekistan. They aim to inspire and transform the young generation in the tech sector by training students and connecting them with job opportunities at local and foreign companies. Ilmhona trains students in in-demand skills and constantly strive to employ talented graduates with opportunities both inside and outside of Tajikistan.

Pledges Inc. has supported 2 cohorts of the Imlhona ProSkills program since May-2022, by investing USD89,332; enrolling 61 young individuals residing in Dushanbe and Istaravshan. These individuals embarked on a rigorous bootcamp, which provided comprehensive training in web development using React JS and Android mobile application development using Kotlin. 41 participants have successfully completed the program, and an impressive 28 of them have secured employment. 13 are current students in the REACT-JS bootcamp.

Cohort Program Initial Learners Graduates Duration Employed
1 Android Kotlin 13 10 3months 7
1 JS React 12 10 3 months 8
2 Android Kotlin 7 7 3 months 4
2 JS React 16 14 3 months 8

Ilmhona's dedication to prioritizing students is reflected in its efforts to make the program more accessible. To alleviate the financial burden for participants, Ilmhona introduced the Income Share Agreement, which allows students to pay for their training after securing a job, enhancing accessibility and promoting inclusivity.

The ProSkills program has proven to be a highly effective initiative in preparing young individuals for the tech industry. Through rigorous training, commitment to student support, and an integrated approach to skill development, the program has empowered its alumni to secure new job opportunities and thrive in their careers. Ilmhona is currently working on the implementation of the new ProSkills directions, considering design, backend and iOS development.
