Foundation For Youth Employment Pakistan - FYEP was founded in 2019 as part of a global organisation of Generation Pakistan dedicated to provide skilled trainings to unemployed youth of Pakistan and provide them with opportunities of employment as well.
Recently, Agha Khan Rural Support Program - AKRSP and Pledges Inc collaborated to fund an entry level Junior Full Stack Development Training Program in the northern rural area of Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan which included a 3 month training based on different programming languages currently in demand across the tech industry further leading to a 3 month intensive apprenticeship program also known as a mentorship program where mentors help and guide through their professional journey in order to provide them with expertise in their respective domains.
FYEP as an organization executed this program collaborating with AKRSP and Pledges Inc. whereas GameTrain was onboarded as a training partner to execute the program itself. FYEP and GameTrain hired the relevant staff, instructors and mentors to complete the training whereas Pledges and AKRSP further collaborated with different employers in the rural areas to facilitate the trainees at their locations and later on hire them as either contractual or permanent resource.
This collaboration has paved its way towards many future collaborations to provide the youth a necessary step towards their professional development and advance their career in the tech industry.
